2026 Temporary Premium Assistance

 

There is additional financial help to replace some or all of the expired federal enhanced premium tax credits for eligible Connecticut residents enrolled in health coverage through Access Health CT in 2026. Access Health CT is working to incorporate this new financial help into our system, but you can review the income information below to see if you might qualify and call us if you want to enroll. There is a limited-time Special Enrollment Period until June 30, 2026, to allow eligible customers to enroll and get access to this new financial help. 

 

Important

You must call us at 1-855-805-4325 to enroll. Our call center representatives will help you determine if you are eligible to enroll through the Special Enrollment Period.

 

 

Who qualifies for this new help?

Households with an annual income at 100% and 200% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), who are not already enrolled in the Covered CT Program, will receive financial help to replace 100% of the expired enhanced premium tax credits. 

Households with an annual income over 400% and up to 500% FPL will receive a receive financial help to replace 50% of the expired enhanced premium tax credits. 

This Temporary Premium Assistance is currently in place for one year.

How can you enroll?

Call us at 1-855-805-4325. Our Enrollment Specialists can help you make sure you meet the requirements and that you receive the financial assistance you qualify for. 

  • You need to enroll in health coverage for 2026. 
  • You must select a Bronze, Silver or Gold Plan. 
  • You must say that you are requesting financial assistance and accept all the federal financial help (APTCs) available to you. 

If you have a Qualifying Life Event, you will be able to see the 2026 Temporary Premium Assistance reflected in your premium estimate when you shop for and compare health plans online through Access Health CT.  

If you don't have a Qualifying Life Event, you must call us to see if you qualify for 2026 Temporary Premium Assistance.
